The Liboson
In an Alpine chalet nestling on the slope of Hauts-de-Caux above Montreux, a guest room adjoins an Egyptian crypt or a Renaissance painter’s studio: at Paul and Nicole du Marchie.
The extraordinarily welcoming Liboson chalet is one of those squat Alpine chalets clinging to the slope under Rochers-de-Naye. For over 25 years, Paul and Nicole du Marchie have transformed the chalet interior with its handcrafted stained-glass windows, installing an Egyptian crypt, a Renaissance painter's studio, and a Byzantine library containing handcrafted and erudite editions.
For a retreat, the guest room is a studio apartment with a small kitchen. and a discreet recess. It can accommodate up to six persons.
The Liboson Alpine chalet clings to the sheer slopes of Hauts-de-Caux, with an unrestricted view on Lake Geneva. After a walk with no difference in level, visitors reach absolute silence and a contemplative site.
