Sainte-Croix/Les Rasses, spectacular views and interesting traditions

The music box is to Sainte-Croix what skiing is to Les Rasses: a passion dating back generations.

The focus of Sainte-Croix’s industrial activity is mechanical art and watch-making and visitors can view the town’s masterpieces, automatons and music boxes at the CIMA and Musée Baud.

Overlooking the floating winter mists, Les Rasses has a tourist tradition dating back over a century. The ski area (1,150 to 1,606 m altitude) has 9 lifts ideal for learning to ski in a safe environment. Les Rasses and L'Auberson are a paradise for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing (over 100 km of trails) with spectacular views over the Alps and Mont-Blanc. In summer, hikers and cyclists are energised by the pure air of the Jura and the wide range of hotels, holiday accommodation and chalet-restaurants with terraces enhances the unique authentic experience.
