Les Mosses - La Lécherette
The Les Mosses – La Lécherette plateau in the Alps of the Lake Geneva Region has a downhill skiing area, a vast network of cross-country ski runs and several trails for snowshoe walking. The village is quaint with infrastructures that make it an ideal family destination.
The Nordic area of the Alps of Lake Geneva Region boasts 42km of cross-country ski runs and 32km of snowshoe trails. The offer made to Nordic skiers is very comprehensive, as the house at the Nordic area has a waxing room, changing rooms and showers as well as a resting area, and is located in the village centre. On the Pra-cornet plateau the Espace Nordique is a privileged area with its own refuge, accessible to cross-country skiers and snowshoe walkers.
The downhill ski area of Les Mosses-La Lécherette ranges in altitude from 1,450 to 1,870m, offering 40 km of runs and 13 ski-tows. A treadmill, mini ski-lifts grouped together in the snow garden, and ski-tows of progressive gradient allow one to learn to ski while gaining self-confidence, making the area a favourite for beginners and families.
The Les Mosses-La Lécherette ski area is connected to the Leysin ski area by shuttle bus; combined, they offer over 100km of ski runs. Children under 9 can ski for free and are accommodated in their parents’ room free of charge.
