The Espace Horloger in Le Sentier uses the latest interactive techniques to introduce visitors to the secrets of time. In this museum, complication watches, historical objects and virtual installations teach visitors about the various trades and the history of watch-making in the Joux Valley.
Learn about the history of the Swiss watch and one of the regions that established its reputation. The Espace Horloger begins its journey through time with an exhibition of the first complicated clocks and watches made in the Joux Valley.
The visit continues in the old factory in Le Sentier where visitors are introduced to the technological secrets and various trades involved in watch-making. With “Ludotemps”, you can slip into the skin of a watch-maker and dismantle and assemble a watch, then wear it virtually. Large touch-screen tables present the various trades of this industry, an integral part of Swiss culture.
Open from Tuesday to Sunday, the Espace Horloger puts on an original temporary exhibition featuring the different aspects of watch-making every year.
