Leysin
Leysin, in the Alps of the Lake Geneva Region, has many sports activities to offer including downhill skiing and snowboarding. An exceptional landscape awaits discovery at the Kuklos panoramic, revolving restaurant.
More than the altitude, what is breathtaking at la Berneuse above Leysin is the view of the Mont Blanc, the Dents du Midi, the Eiger, the Tour d’Aï and de Mayen. A choice refuge from which to enjoy the panorama while keeping warm is the Kuklos revolving restaurant.
The ski area in Leysin ranges from an altitude of 1,350m to 2,200m. There are fifteen runs for 60km of slopes from the summits to the village. Thanks to snow cannons the descent all the way down to the village is feasible from the beginning to the end of the season. The blue (easy) slopes adapted for children – who ski free of charge up to the age of 9 - as well as the red (intermediate) and black (difficult) slopes will offer skiers of all levels what they are looking for. Thanks to the shuttle bus that links Leysin to the ski area at Les Mosses-La Lécherette, the combined Leysin-Les Mosses area has over 100 km of runs to fulfil your every desire.
For snowboarders and skiers seeking thrills, Leysin has a special area specially cut out for freestyle with a snow park, a superpipe and a permanent snow-cross trail.
As for the Tobogganing Park, it is located next to the skating rink and offers 4 to 12 runs for young and old. On an inner tube slide down the snow toboggans – comparable to the ice tracks in bobsledging – built by Olympic-medal-winner in tobogganing, Silvio Giobellina.
