The Association "Morges Fleur du Léman" invites flower lovers to discover thousands of tulips in the Independence Park of Morges in free access.
Each year, the ‘Morges Fleur du Léman’ Association welcomes the return of spring with its Tulip Festival in the Parc de l’Indépendance. This anticipated event delights visitors with more than 145,000 tulips of approximately 275 varieties gathered at the Parc de l'Indépendance in Morges. The first varieties bloom as early as April and attract among others a family audience. The diversity of these flower beds, embellished with daffodils, muscaris and other spring bulbs, remind fans of the tulip’s huge range of shapes and colours. The entrance to the Parc de l'Indépendance is free and animations are regularly organized during the weekends.
The Tulip Festival is part of the World Tulip Society, an association whose aim is to bring together all those involved in celebrating the tulip in parks and festivals around the world, as well as the distributors and artists for whom the flower has been an inspiration. The Morges Tulip Festival was commended with the "2019 World Tulip Destination Worth Travelling For" award in order to highlight its 50th edition. And while the majority of such festivals may be larger in size, the Morges Tulip Festival is certainly one of the oldest festivals in the world.
