Narcissi in bloom in Montreux Riviera

From April onwards, many hiking trails allow you to admire the fields of Narcissus in the heights of Montreux and Vevey.

Wild narcissi bloom between April and June and transform the meadows above Montreux and Vevey into immaculately white, perfumed landscapes.

As soon as the snow melts, the leaves of the narcissi (narcissus radiiflorus) shoot out of the earth and unfold the energy stored in their bulbs to burst into bloom precociously, a phenomenon called «May Snow».

Numerous paths enable you to stroll across fields of narcissi. They can be viewed on the site www.narcisses.com. There is also a weather forecast for the narcissi, indicating when the flowers bloom. Finally, the “Narcisses Riviera” association offers you guided tours.
