Vaudois beaches

Fun, relaxing, sunny: The beaches of the canton of Vaud can compete with seaside destinations!

The most beautiful beaches of the canton of Vaud all have something unique to offer. Some vacationers visiting the area find it quite unusual to sit down at a lakeshore as you would at the Mediterranean. Some sandy beaches make you think you're at the seaside. And swimming in fresh waters can sometimes be more pleasant and invigorating than a dip in the sea. On the shores of the large lakes of Geneva and Neuchâtel, there are plenty of places to enjoy and relax in, although you can still find secluded spots to have a splash in complete peace. Although smaller in size, Lake Morat remains a classic summer swimming lake. The beaches of Lake Joux offer high-altitude freshness without compromising on the variety of activities that are as plentiful as on the shores of the lakes in the plains.
