A diverse natural environment for many activities

From lakes to mountains, nature parks to open countryside, the landscape of the Lake Geneva Region is a natural playground.

With UNESCO-listed Lavaux, Glacier 3000 and Grande Cariçaie, the Lake Geneva Region has some of the most beautiful landscape in Switzerland which can be enjoyed via some delightful means of transport. Take a panoramic or classic GoldenPass train from Montreux to the Alps or a cruise on Lake Geneva on board one of the Belle Epoque or modern boats of the CGN (Compagnie Générale de Navigation). Lake Geneva, Lake Neuchâtel and the many mountain lakes are ideal for swimming and water sports in the summer. In the winter Lake Joux is transformed into a natural skating rink.

A paradise for alternative transport, the region has 3,000 km of marked trails for walkers and cyclists who can count on Suisse Mobile to plan their routes through the stunning regional nature parks of the Vaudois Jura and Gruyère-Pays-d’Enhaut. These large parks and the countryside as a whole offer a whole range of activities and accommodation ideal for rural and green tourism.
