Joux Valley

Set around Lake Joux, the largest expanse of water in the Jura massif, Joux Valley is one of the gems of the canton of Vaud. It provides an ideal setting for summer water sports and winter skating and supplies delicious fish to the fishermen and the nearby restaurants

Seekers of authenticity, fans of tranquillity and nature lovers find their earthly paradise here. Time seems to pass a little more slowly on the paths winding around Joux Lake, in the spruce tree forests or in the heart of the Vaudois Jura Park. A challenge for the historical cradle of haute horlogerie, but an undeniable asset for passing visitors who, during a welcome break, will be pleased to discover regional products. Vacherin Mont d'Or PDO, alpine Gruyère PDO, gentian brandy and lake fish will delight the most discerning epicurean!
All these delicious terroir products are offered in the restaurants located on the lakeshores or on mountain pastures boasting a superb view. These dishes are best accompanied by Vaudois wine, especially Chasselas, the canton’s iconic grape variety.
