Launched in autumn 2000, the "Family Weekend at the Museums" is a special moment of complicity and discovery for families.

On the first weekend in November, the museums offer, upon registration, activities for families allowing them to live together amazing experiences.

Each museum organizes a workshop for the creation of works or objects related to its theme, adapted to be carried out collectively by the whole family.

This event is a great opportunity to discover ancient and contemporary techniques, to meet artists and craftsmen and above all to enrich the family with a wonderful experience shared by all. Common point of all its activities, families take their creations with them.

Moreover, during this event, the inhabitants of the communes of the Vaud Riviera (Blonay, Chardonne, Corseaux, Corsier, Jongny, Montreux, La Tour-de-Peilz, St-Légier, Vevey, Veytaux and Villeneuve) will be able to visit some of the institutions taking part in the event free of charge.

Throughout the first weekend in November, museums in the Association of Museums of the Vaudois Riviera (AMRV) will be putting on workshops so families can sign up for amazing shared experiences.

All weekend at Chillon™ Castle we will be organising workshops for the whole family!

WORKSHOP PRICES: 20.00 CHF per family (minimum 1 adult and 1 child, up to 5 people in total).

Furthermore, during this event, residents of the Vaud Riviera (Blonay, Chardonne, Corseaux, Corsier, Jongny, Montreux, La Tour-de-Peilz, St-Légier, Vevey, Veytaux and Villeneuve) will get free entry to the institutions participating in the event*.

* Villa « Le Lac » Le Corbusier et Chemin de fer – Musée Blonay-Chamby have special conditions.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Parents and guardians are responsible for children at all times.
The visit to the castle can be truly wintery... Make sure to dress warmly!

Practical information
For the workshops :
Maximum 4 workshops per family during the weekend Cost: CHF 20 per family (1 adult and 1 child min., max. 5 persons) Free of charge on the VMCV bus lines for families registered for the workshops.

To take part in the activities :
- Registration essential by calling 0848 86 84 84 from Monday 2 to Friday 6 November 2020 between 8.30am and 5pm.
- Maximum 4 workshops per family during the weekend
- Cost: 20.00 / family (1 adult and 1 child min., 5 people max.)
- Keep this leaflet and have it stamped at the museum reception desk during the first activity.

During the weekend, the inhabitants of the communes of Blonay, Chardonne, Corseaux, Corsier, Jongny, Montreux, St-Légier, La Tour-de-Peilz, Vevey, Veytaux and Villeneuve will be able to visit the institutions taking part in the event* free of charge.
