Payerne - Manifestations
During the grape harvest, four horse-drawn carts revive a wine-growing tradition of Payerne: they take back the must to the cellar of Queen Bertha. The convoy spends two days passing through a part of the canton of Vaud on a route formerly used by the carters. On Général Guisan Square: autumn market with terroir flavours and entertainment.
Horse-drawn carts take the must produced by the freshly harvested grapes from Lavaux to Payerne. Payerne wines can be tasted in all villages that are crossed.
