International competition, scheduled immediately after the European Championships and with a prize money of 80'000CHF, which will meet the stars of the world swimming in different styles. In the morning qualifying, all participants will try to achieve one of the 6 (or 12) best times. In the evening, the finals promise a real show with exciting races, a sound / light / DJ show, all in an overheated atmosphere!
This meeting, supported by the International Amateur Swimming Federation (FINA), is scheduled just after the European Short Course Swimming Championships in Denmark (Copenhagen, 13-17 December 2017). Thanks to a prize money of CHF 80,000, big names are expected at Mon-Repos to compete in different styles.
The competitions are going to take place on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st December with, in the morning, qualifying and in the evening, the finals. At the end of the qualifications and according to the discipline, between 6 and 12 swimmers will be in the finals. In order to ensure the smooth running of the competitions, an international professional jury chaired by three FINA international judges from Switzerland, Ladies Gurtner and Schroeter and Mr Tschanz, will be present during the events.
It is now the second time that the public will be able to attend swimming competitions of such a level in Lausanne. In order to welcome you in the best conditions, the swimming pool of Mon-Repos will be set up in a stadium and will benefit for the occasion of a spectacle sound / light / DJ of the most beautiful effect. The public will be able to attend 16 qualifiers and 16 finals each day, which promises intense moments and suspense.
