The friendly and authentic Day of the Papet is celebrated on January 24, 2019, which is the Vaudois Independence Day in eleven towns of the canton of Vaud.
After its huge success in 2017 and 2018, the Day of the Papet is expecting your visit to taste the 2,000 PGI cabbage sausages accompanied by tons of leeks!
This day, which is organised by GastroVaud, the Vaudois Association of café, restaurant and hotel owners, is dedicated to this typically Vaudois dish. In partnership with PGI Charcuterie Vaudoise and the Vaudois Federation of vegetable producers, this event promotes values that are dear to the three organisations: proximity, conviviality and authenticity.
The Vaudois restaurateurs will be present on 11 major squares in Lausanne, Yverdon-les-Bains, Nyon, Morges, Payerne, Pully, Echallens, Vevey, Aigle, Montreux and Château-d'Oex, where they will offer the famous dish free of charge.
