Duck House

Duck House - Freddie Mercury Vacation Home

From the late '70s until his death in 1991, Freddie Mercury visited Montreux again and again. The well-known "Duck House" is located directly on the shores of Lake Geneva and is now bookable at Interhome.

The Swiss holiday home broker Interhome leases the so-called "Duck House" at Montreux with immediate effect. The house, built in the 1970's, is closely linked to the history of the recording studios of the Vaudois Riviera, since various music groups such as Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Boy George or Freddie Mercury - former singer of Queen - have used the villa as a retreat and inspiration ,

The Duck House is a 5-room villa surrounded by a 1800 square meter garden. The boathouse, which is part of the holiday home, is known around the world because it can be seen on the record cover of Queen's last album. A large part of the high-quality furniture is still original from the 70s and thus comes from the first stays of Queen.

"The house has contributed a lot to the history of music - 'It's a kind of magic!' We are delighted to be able to offer this gem to our guests from all over the world, "says Roger Müller, Country Manager Interhome Switzerland. "We want the house to be used as a place of rest and joy of life, as in the past," adds Roger Müller.
