As it has more hiking than climbing passages, this via ferrata is ideal for beginners. The departure point is 5 minutes away from the Videmanette cable car station in Pays-d’Enhaut, which is well-known to climbers and skiers.
These now trendy via ferrata combine climbing and mountain hiking.
Climbers know the Videmanette ski resort well. They appreciate its easy access by cable car from the village of Rougemont, which is also connected to the major access routes via the MOB train. Another advantage: equipment can be rented at affordable prices at Videmanette. Climbers can choose between three via ferrata.
The first, rather easy route, is ideal for beginners. It starts with a bit of steep but easy climbing, with one vent passage. The last stretch up to Mount Rubli (2,285 m) is a hike. Upon arrival, a splendid view of the Alps and Pays-d’Enhaut rewards the climbers.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION :
The three routes of Via Ferrata de la Videmanette are now closed.
