A little outside the quiet village of St-Légier, between the Swiss Riviera and the mountains, Chef David Tarnowski has found his gourmet paradise. He took over Auberge de la Veveyse after proving his talent that was rewarded with Michelin stars elsewhere.
The meals served by Chef David Tarnowski at the Auberge de la Veveyse reflect his career: well-rounded but simple flavours far removed from the splendour of luxury hotels but coming close to gastronomic perfection. After his career at the Montreux Palace and the star-studded Le Montagne, David and Laurence Tarnowski wanted to return to the simple but pure plesasure of bistro cooking without sacrificing their creativity.
The result is a small but expert menu card that has been rewarded by 15 GaultMillau points. The meals as well as the “Veveyse” and “Dégust” dishes of the day offer an excellent price-quality ratio. Seasonal vegetables, creamy risottos, meats and heavenly desserts can be enjoyed in the convivial dining room or in the shade of a lime tree on the terrace.
