The century-old steam or electric trains take visitors from Blonay on a journey through viaducts, tunnels and pastures that offer a magnificent view of the Vaud Riviera, Lake Geneva and Savoy. Once at their destination, a visit to the museum allows the curious to discover one of the most complete and representative railway collections in Europe!
The museum's café-restaurant with a large terrace offers time for a break while watching the train movements from the front row!
Along a route with steep hillside sections, a tunnel and a viaduct, the historic Blonay-Chamby locomotives take passengers on a journey back in time through a stunning natural landscape. A real technical feat, the narrow gauge track overlooking Lake Geneva was built between 1874 and 1935.
Once arrived, passengers can linger for a while and wander around the collection of the Chaulin-Chamby museum. The sixty or so trains on show are without doubt one of the finest collections of narrow gauge railway stock in Switzerland.
The Blonay-Chamby Railway Museum also offers a variety of different excursions for groups wanting to celebrate a special occasion or simply relax and enjoy a deep sense of timelessness.
