Moudon - Sport
For the first time in its history, the city will welcome the Tour de Suisse. What’s more, it’ll be the only venue of the two legs in the heart of French-speaking Switzerland and the canton of Vaud on Wednesday, June 10 and on Thursday, June 11, 2020.
This year, Moudon will again be able to boast its position as a hot spot of cycling. The city will welcome the Tour de Suisse for the first time in its history. What’s more, it’ll be the only venue of the two legs in the heart of French-speaking Switzerland and the canton of Vaud. This event echoes the Tour de Romandie and the European trial cycling championships that were organised with much success.
For this leg of the eighth edition, the cyclists will depart from St. Urban in the canton of Lucerne, before reaching the Broye whose landscape offers ideal conditions for an attractive race. In the middle of the afternoon, the multicoloured pack of cyclists will arrive in the small town that has been classified as one of Switzerland’s “most beautiful villages”. The cyclists will do a loop across the town before passing the finish line at Place de la Gare. The next day, they’ll depart from the front of the iconic St-Etienne church in the direction of the Valais and towards Loèche-les-Bains.
