The resorts and villages of Villars and Gryon each have a ski area, both of which are connected to each other as well as to the runs of Les Diablerets. The natural sites of Solalex and Taveyanne delight non-skiers, who are welcome there.
The installations of the ski areas at Villars and Gryon in the Alps of the Lake Geneva Region link up to those of Les Diablerets: Meilleret and Glacier 3000, for a total of 4 ski areas to discover throughout your stay. The ski runs at Villars and Gryon traverse a delightful landscape of peaks and forests via 3 open valleys. With a majority of red and blue runs and the careful, daily grooming of all the runs, the Alpine site is ideal for beginners as well as for expert skiers.
More specifically, the Villars ski area extends from the summit of the Grand Chamossaire (2,120m) to the resort, just as the summit of the Croix des Chaux (2,020m) leads the skier directly to the Barboleuse/Gryon village centre. Three mountain lakes, a snowpark with a panoramic snow bar and a practical cog train for skiers and non-skiers, plus night events complete a resolutely family-oriented offer.
As for the 50km of cross-country ski runs, they cut across the pasturelands of Taveyanne or Solalex in the solitary, sinuous dales, favourable for meeting up with wildlife and for getting away.
Villars-Gryon also offers several slopes sledge runs in a beautiful natural setting, and two free areas for skiing and sledging. The area is also particularly well suited for hikes on skis, snowshoes or on foot.
