The Go Run For Fun races are held over a distance of around 1.5 km. They are open to all schools, sports clubs and individuals.
Go Run For Fun is the leading race programme for children, with over 30,000 youngsters taking part in it every year.
This initiative started in England and is now growing across Europe, in Belgium, Germany, France and Switzerland, as well as in the United States. The objective of these races is to provide enjoyment for children whilst encouraging them to be more active. Everything is done in such a way that physical exertion seems like a game and produces a sense of pride. The races are never timed nor is there a ranking system. All the children who take part in the event automatically receive a medal and a T-shirt.
In order to make these events an even more unforgettable experience for the children, celebrities from the world of sport are invited to put in an appearance at the event, motivate the youngsters before and during the race, and encourage them in their efforts. Dart the mascot and the Go Run For Fun organisers are also on hand to lead the warm-up activities, liven up the race and play with the children.
