At the foot of the legendary family resort of Leysin, the cross-country ski trail in the lower part of the village is an ideal chance to exercise, enjoy the sunshine and relax and recharge in a stunning setting surrounded by spectacular mountain peaks.
Renowned for its beneficial climate from the times when people came here to take the sun as a cure for tuberculosis, Leysin is a beautiful location for this exceptional trail including panoramic views of the surrounding peaks of the Vaud Alps. The best-known include the mythical Tours d’Aï and Mayen, the Mont d’Or, the Pic Chaussy and the Les Diablerets mountain range. This undulating trail will take you past the rural village of Crettaz, La Chèvrerie and through the lower part of Les Esserts.
The start point is located after the riding school or opposite the Tobogganing–Park car park. From here, the trail winds up and down, through fields and farms, across the sunny plateau above the cantonal road. Make sure you reward yourself for your efforts with a visit to the snow village.
