The Les Piles Trail is an undulating route accessible to all, for classic or skate style cross-country skiers. Accessible via train or by car, starting from the Col de la Givrine, follow the markings according to your choice of route, either the full route or a shorter version.
As you ski through the meadows, you’ll soak up the peace of the unspoilt snow-covered valley, enjoying the natural diversity and tranquil scenery of meadows and forest paths. The route continues through the shaded wood of La Pile where it’s not uncommon to see animal tracks running alongside the skiers’.
At the end of the day, if the weather’s right, you’ll see an exceptional sunset through the trees on the edge of the forest. On the return route, near the Col de la Givrine, you can head up the little climb to La Trélasse, an alpine farm and winter restaurant.
