Glacier 3000 - Peak Walk by Tissot

Glacier 3000
fun at the top

Glacier 3000, the canton’s highest peak, offers snow fun and a great outdoors atmosphere in all seasons. Thrills guaranteed!

The adventure begins at Col du Pillon, between Gstaad and Les Diablerets, where you board the Glacier 3000 cable car. Starting above the snowy fir trees, the journey takes you towards the majestic peaks, giving you a foretaste of the stunning landscapes in store for you at the top. When you get to Scex Rouge, you will behold a milky sea of clouds. In winter and in summer, the futuristic cable car station designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta unveils an impressive panorama: Your gaze falls on iconic mountains such as Mont-Blanc, the Matterhorn, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

Crossing the Peak Walk by Tissot, a must-do attraction for all fans of thrills, is a unique experience. The first step you take on this impressive suspension bridge between two mountains will be etched in your memory! Presenting a length of 107 meters and difference in height of 5 metres, the bridge will give you the amazing feeling of flying like a bird at almost 3,000 metres above sea level. Another enchanting adventure to try out on this eternal snow is an outing on a sled pulled by Nordic dogs. This Far North activity can be booked all year round so you can enjoy a peaceful moment on the expanse of the glacier.

In winter

The exceptional snow conditions at Glacier 3000 see to it that winter sports fans of all levels are spoilt for choice from October to May. Whether you’re into downhill or cross-country skiing: the multiple marked tracks are bound to make you want to come back for more. The ski region has recently added the Red Run. This spectacular 6-mile red slope takes you from Scez Rouge to Reusch between 3,000 and 1,300 metres above sea level. Freestyle beginners or pros: Take flight on the first-class rails and jumps at the Snow Park, which was designed by professionals. Located in the lower section of the Ice Express chairlift, the Fun Park resounds with the laughter of non-skiers, fans of sledding and families. In winter, a round-trip by ski bus takes you from Les Diablerets to Col du Pillon, while the Snow Bus - a kind of snow groomer – lets you explore the region of the glacier.

In Summer

In the warm season, nature fans love to spend some time in the cool air of Glacier 3000. In this picture postcard environment, fans of snowshoeing and hiking venture out on the Alpine paths and routes that offer 45 miles to be explored. Glacier Walk, which is accessible throughout the year, connects Scex Rouge to Quille du Diable. Legend has it that the demons used this huge rock in the shape of a tower or bulwark as a goal or skittle... Near the cabin of Les Diablerets, the Rocher Jaune Via Ferrata  - for experienced climbers only - combines high-mountain climbing and hiking and is sure to get your adrenaline flowing. The most adventurous among you will also take a ride on the Alpine Coaster, Europe’s highest sledge run, offering speeds peaking at 25 mph. Thrills guaranteed!
