Snow until the very end of winter in the Canton of Vaud

The Vaudois Alps resorts are just entering the final phase of an exceptional winter season. The magnificent conditions promise us more snow sports experiences on pristine snow right up to the end of the winter, whether at Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets, Leysin-Les Mosses-La Lécherette, Château-d’Oex-Rougemont or Montreux Riviera. For a beautiful end to the ski year, the rays of the sun are growing stronger and temperatures are getting a little milder.

Ski, relaxation and gastronomy

Before letting winter go on its way, we often feel like really making the most of the fun this season offers. Sensations on the slopes are even more intense and the pleasure of plunging into the thermal baths after all that effort is second to none. Summer diets have not yet appeared on the horizon, so you can enjoy the cheese dishes to your heart’s content in the friendly surroundings of a mountain restaurant.

Sunny terraces and wild après-ski

Down in the plains, the sun always struggles to pierce through the fog. In the Vaudois Alps, the opposite is true! Between one descent and the next, you must take the time to bask in full sun on the terraces. At the end of the day, keep some energy for partying at the unforgettable après-ski. While waiting for the summer festivals, winter partygoers are all heading to events such as the Giant X Tour, the Fluo Flash Fun Vol. 16 or the Villars Afterseason Electronic Festival.

Before you let the winter slip away, make the most of the best of the season!

Thanks to recent snowfalls and the first rays of spring sunshine, winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy an unforgettable end of season!

The ski resorts of the Vaudois Alps are making their final call inviting you to enjoy the ski slopes before they close until next winter. Fans of soft sports can explore several dozens of miles of cross-country and snowshoeing tracks in Ste-Croix-Les Rasses, in St-Cergue-La Dôle and in the Vallée de Joux, in the Vaudois Jura.

Snowfall bulletins and webcams  help you organise your day trips as they let you know the weather, open slopes and routes at all times.

Terraces, restaurants and après-ski on the slopes

A restaurant high up on the slopes is an unmissable part of any ski day worthy of the name. Whether for a coffee, the menu du jour or a speciality aperitif, the café terraces and restaurants along the slopes of the Vaudois Alps welcome anyone who loves snow and companionship.

What could be better at the end of a long day spent gliding down the slopes of the Vaudois Alps than reclining on the terrace of a snow bar, sipping the traditional mulled wine or some other reviving drink? But first, a good meal savoured in the shelter of a mountain restaurant, to re-energise the winter sportsman or woman. Whether beginner or expert, no skier would miss the pleasure of an après-ski bathed in sunlight, in a lively musical atmosphere.

The high-altitude refuges and bars scattered between Leysin, Le Col des Mosses, Villars-Gryon, Les Diablerets, Château-d’Oex, Rougemont, Rossinière, Les Rochers-de-Naye, Les Pléaides, la Vallée de Joux, Ste-Croix/Les Rasses and St-Cergue/La Dôle offer local and seasonal specialities, for every taste and every pocket.

Most of the establishments on the slopes offer comfortable chaise-longues to skiers in search of rest. Some restaurants are accessible by ski lift so occasional skiers do not have to take all their snow equipment with them. At the day’s end, the festive ambience in the après-ski bars extends into the evening.
