Cycling in winter? Get on a Fatbike and try the 7km track between Bretaye and Villars!
This sporty activity will delight both cycling enthusiasts and thrill-seekers! Fatbikes are specially designed for snowy slopes and combine adrenaline and winter sports fun in complete safety on a wide and well marked terrain.
The Fatbike is a specially designed bike that rides in the snow thanks to wide tyres, guaranteeing better grip on difficult terrain.
From Bretaye and at your own pace, ride down the snowy slopes for seven kilometres and enjoy the thrill and fun of winter. The well-marked trail starts in Bretaye, leads to the Roc à l'Ours and then to the Col de la Croix road and reaches Villars.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
1 - Hire a Fatbike in one of the sports shops. The number of Fatbikes available for hire is limited. Book in advance!
2- Buy a ticket and get to the start of the route in Bretaye. The train ride is included in the Magic Pass or a valid ski pass.
You can buy a daily pass as well for CHF 34.00 and use the train for one day without any extra charge for your bike.
3- Take the train from Villars station to its terminus: Bretaye. (Timetable on CFF.ch).
4- Follow the trail signs from Bretaye and reach Villars after a thrilling descent!
